Artifact Commentary
The Personal Learning Plan Podcast was created during the summer of 2011 for CEP 812. The goal of the podcast was to simply take a look at what has been learned thus far and more importantly, what is hoped to be gained in the future and how it will be gained.
The reason I include this artifact is because it looks forward. As stated multiple times in my synthesis paper, it is very important to me that, as we reflect on our practice, we put those reflections into practice and look toward the future. The knowledge cannot stop accumulating. This podcast highlights that desire for continued reflection and setting up tools that success may be found in the future.
This podcast also represents one of my first ventures into podcasting and a strong attempt to broaden my technological skills. When listening to your own voice, you become aware of some idiosyncrasies that you would rather eliminate. The podcasting did just this. I had to take a few test runs so that the final product came out the way that I wanted. I am now much more comfortable podcasting and plan on implementing in my classes as an assessment tool.
